The Montana Wetland Council

The Montana Wetland Council (MWC) is an active network of diverse interests working cooperatively to protect and restore Montana’s wetlands and aquatic ecosystems. Our mission is to ensure the preservation of water quality, water quantity, habitat, and the various environmental benefits these resources provide to the state.

We strive for no net loss of Montana’s remaining wetland resource base and an overall increase in both the quality and quantity of wetlands. We are committed to maintaining, protecting, and restoring the ecological integrity of riparian areas across the state.
